Working with Wine

Fellowship Education Program

Negociants Australia is one of the country’s leading fine wine distributors with a vast international portfolio of quality wines. Believing that education is the key to the future success of the Australian wine industry, Negociants Australia in 1998 introduced the Working with Wine Fellowship to encourage the new generation of Australian wine professionals.

The Working with Wine Fellowship is again offering 120 of Australia’s most promising future wine professionals the opportunity to advance their wine education by participating, free-of-charge, in the 2012 Working with Wine Education Program. The Working with Wine Education Program comprises two educational seminars, presented by leading industry figures, and with a panel of experts to add to the experience.

At the end of the Education Program year, a national winner will be chosen from the 120 participants. He/she will receive a fully-paid trip to Europe, to visit some of the world’s most celebrated vineyards and wineries, which may include; Antinori, Vieux Télégraphe, Château Pétrus, Domaine Leflaive, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Dujac, Domaine Faiveley, GAJA, Guigal, Hugel and Sassicaia. The national winner will return as a Working with Wine Fellow and will be eligible to attend all future Working with Wine seminars.

"It is our aim, that by the end of the program year, participants will understand a lot more about wine, motivating them to work towards maintaining the momentum our quality wine and food culture has achieved over the last decade and thereby ensuring the future success of the Australian wine industry."
